Spiritual First Aid Training

  • The Vail Church 39209 Us-6 Avon, CO, 81620 United States (map)

Mental health is complex. Helping doesn’t have to be.

Spiritual First Aid is a frontline peer-to-peer spiritual and emotional care intervention structured around the BLESS CPR framework designed specifically for the Faith Community.

The goal of Spiritual First Aid is to transform everyday people on the frontlines of mental health crisis into spiritual first responders and mental health champions. This training teaches frontline peer-to-peer spiritual and emotional care and trauma-informed best practices using our step-by-step BLESS CPR framework.

While Spiritual First Aid is designed specifically for faith communities, it will be a benefit to anyone exploring how we think and talk about suicide. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you are a person of faith, or part of a faith community.

Registration is required. Day one of this 2 part training will take place on June 6 from 4-9 PM, day two will take place on June 7 from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. Attendance both days is required.

SpeakUp ReachOut is able to provide this course for FREE to participants via a grant specifically aimed towards training residents in Eagle County, Colorado in suicide prevention. As a result, we must first offer this course to Eagle County residents. We require a minimum of 10 registrants to hold this training. SpeakUp ReachOut reserves the right to cancel the training a week in advance.
