Ask a question, save a life. Signature mocktails and food served for this suicide prevention class.
Question, Persuade and Refer (QPR), an award-winning, evidenced-based, early-intervention approach to suicide prevention. This educational program is designed to teach lay and "gatekeepers" the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to respond.
In this training we cover the background of QPR, local statistics, how to "ask the question", as well as local behavioral health resources. There will also be an opportunity for Q and A, and we are happy to stay after the training to chat and answer questions. This training will be held in-person.
This event is for adults, parents, co-workers, friends, neighbors and youth ages 16 and up.
Suicide prevention is for everyone. We can all learn to save lives through this training. Data proves that this training works and can make a difference in someone's life.
QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) is made possible by Vail Valley Cares.
