Barbara Rubel is a leading authority and author on traumatic grief, burnout, secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma. As a nationally recognized keynote speaker, and Newsweek Forum Expert member, she motivates audiences to build resilience and create work-life balance. Barbara is the author of, But I Didn’t Say Goodbye: Helping Families After a Suicide (3rd ed.). (2020), the 30-hour CE course for Nurses, Loss, Grief, and Bereavement: Helping Individuals Cope (4th ed.), and the CE course for healthcare professionals, COVID-19 Loss, Grief, and Bereavement (2020). Three weeks prior to Barbara giving birth to triplets, her father died by suicide.
