“Horses can’t talk, but they can speak if you listen.” ~ Unknown

Join us at 10th Mountain Equine for an introduction to equine- and animal-assisted activities and therapies. Time spent with these majestic creatures will leave you feeling less stressed, more connected with nature, and with a greater sense of well-being.

Equine therapy has been around since the days of ancient Greece. The modern-day version, known as equine-assisted therapy, started gaining traction in the 1990’s and has been used to help with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, developmental delay, traumatic brain injuries, behavioral issues, trauma, and many other mental health problems. It can also help anyone to achieve better mindfulness.

At the ranch, attendees will have the opportunity to experience equine-assisted trauma releasement – a modality that involves touching a horse while focusing, breathing and utilizing movement, which can help to soften and even eliminate trauma, and it all literally takes just a few minutes.

This unique event will be presented by 10th Mountain Equine Executive Director, Alecz Adams. It is open to anyone 13 years and older who has experienced challenges/trauma in their past OR who would like to learn mindfulness around horses.
